The things He was talking about right then, not the far distant future. He meant the generation He was speaking to.

I'm still not sure. It sounds pretty final. What comes to mind for me is how every so often someone declares the end of times is upon us. Then those days come and go and we wait for the next declaration! I'd like to know more about what is mean my this one.
