"The first problem is that Lucifer is a Latin name. So how did it find its way into a Hebrew manuscript, written before there was a Roman language? To find the answer, I consulted a scholar at the library of the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. What Hebrew name, I asked, was Satan given in this chapter of Isaiah, which describes the angel who fell to become the ruler of hell?"

Before you say again that Lucifer of Isa 14:12 is Satan read more in this link:

Then take a look at this:

Isa 14:12 is said to introduce a fallen angel Satan to Jews. With more careful reading in it's context we find out that in Isa 14:1-3 God promises to have mercy on Jacob and deliver Israel from the Babylonian bondage. In verses 4-22 God speaks how will He accomplish it so that Israel would know that God has fulfilled His promised. In the desperate attempt to promote pagan god some say that it is an allegory. Please read the chapter carefully to make up your own opinion..

God says that the earth will be at rest when the man will be "laid down"

V7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
V8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
V9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
V10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

He is eaten by worm like every man is

V11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

He weakened the nations (no record of Satan doing this)but now is hi is "gada" - destroyed

V12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The mount of the congregation in the North is the mount where Jews congregated. He thought that by his power he ruled Israel.

V13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend (alah) into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Moab, is also said, has “magnified himself against (the Hebrew word “al” also means above) the LORD” in Jer 48:26+42.

He is going to be brought to grave

V15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

He is the man on whom people look, who made the earth tremble and shook kingdoms.

V16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

There is no record of Satan destroying cities and killing prisoners

V17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

He was not buried as the great kings were

V18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
V19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
V20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

God speaks about the eminent destruction of Babylon

V21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
V22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.V23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

The destruction is clearly foretold by Jeremiah and described by Daniel

Jer 25:12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

Dan 5:22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
Dan 5:23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
Dan 5:24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
Dan 5:25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
Dan 5:26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
Dan 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
Dan 5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
Dan 5:30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
Dan 5:31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

The word "Lucifer" appears only once in few translations of the word “heylel” pertaining to brightness; the morning star. In no way it suggests correlation to Satan. The word is never elaborated on elsewhere, neither in the O.T. nor in the N.T.

Not a clue to suggest that Isa 14 is speaking about a fallen angel Satan.
