I often hear from the pulpit that Satan steals, kills and destroys. Is there anyone to prove this from the scriptures?

Doesn't God kill and destroy disobedient people? The entire OT speaks just that.

Just to help those who are trying to find a fallen angel Satan in the scriptures:

The Hebrew word Satan appears 27 times in the O.T.

It is not translated 19 times: 1Ch21:1, Job1:6-9, Job1:12, Job2:1-4, Job2:6-7, Psa109:6, Zec3:1-2.
Translated as adversary 6 times: Num22:22, 1Ki5:4, 1Ki11:14, 1Ki11:23, 1Ki11:25,
Translated as adversaries in 2Sa19:22.
Translated as withstand in Num22:32.
It also appears in Ps 71:13, 109:20+29.

“The devil” appears only 4 times as a false and useless idol made of wood or stone worshipped by pagan nations. It never appears as a supernatural power or god.

2Ch11:15 And he ordained his own priests for the high places, and for the devils (sa`iyr), and for the calves which he had made
Le17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils (sa`iyr) after whom they have gone a whoring…

Sa`iyr: kid 28, goat 24, devil 2, satyr 2, hairy 2, rough 1.

De32:17 They sacrificed unto devils (shed), not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
Ps106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils (shed)

Shed: devil - demon.

That is a reference from John 10:10 where it says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Although Jesus doesn't specifically call the name of satan here, it is generally accepted that he's referring to satan by calling him a thief. Of course it's open to interpretation since He didn't specify.

The Old Testament has many accounts of God killing and destroying the disobedient. To say that He still does so would be a stretch, though.

Gene.
"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:9)

Is no one reading the Bible? I was surprised by low volume of comments on this site. I guess everyone is too busy on their Facebook accounts or otherwise wasting their time.
